Russian Commander says Moldova comes next

Revelations 6:3-4 “when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4 And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great sword.

Important Takeaways:

  • Putin’s plot to invade Moldova as ‘second stage’ of brutal invasion laid bare
  • The Russian army is planning to establish full control over the Donbas and Southern Ukraine and to ensure a land corridor to the Crimea, according to Rustam Minnekaev, deputy commander of the Central Military District
  • He also warned taking back control over Southern Ukraine will provide Russian troops with another outlet to Moldova’s pro-Russian breakaway region of Transdniestria, which borders Ukraine. Kyiv fears this could be used as a launching pad for new attacks.
  • Meanwhile, Moldova parliament speaker Igor Grosu revealed his country has taken another huge step towards “EU integration.”

Russia Moving Toward Odesa. Belarus President Shows Moldova Could be Next Target

Matthew 24:6 “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.”

Important Takeaways:

  • Russian Fleet Approach Has Ukraine’s Port City Odesa Bracing
  • With a naval fleet reported near the Ukrainian city of Odesa and the city of Kherson taken, it’s increasingly clear that Russia’s invasion is gaining pace in the country’s open and hard-to-defend coastal plains, even as its advance is slowed in the north
  • Other troops from Crimea moved west to Kherson and Mykolaiv, the last significant town before the historic port city of Odesa and potentially — if the arrows on a campaign map shown in video footage behind Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko are to be believed – the neighboring ex-Soviet republic of Moldova. The map suggests a force landing east of Odesa and driving directly north, before head west through Transnistria.
  • Russian defense specialist for Chatham House Mathieu Boulegue said here were signs — including Russian attacks on communications infrastructure in Kyiv, and the spread of false declarations of capitulation online — that Russia will bring its full cyber warfare capabilities and air power to bear in the coming days.
  • That could rupture communications between Ukraine’s commanders and defenses across the eastern half of a nation roughly the size of France, as well as their ability to move food and new weapons supplies from Europe and the U.S. to the places they’re needed

Russia using gas to bully Moldova, says EU

By Robin Emmott

BRUSSELS (Reuters) -The European Union’s top diplomat said on Thursday that Moscow was using natural gas to bully Moldova, as the prime minister of the ex-Soviet republic said the country could not afford the prices Russia was now offering.

Moldova’s gas contract with Russia’s Gazprom expired at the end of September. Moldova’s pro-EU Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita told Reuters that Gazprom was not offering the new government the traditional annual rollover of a previous, 30-year contract, but instead a three-fold price increase.

The Kremlin on Wednesday denied the Russian company was using gas talks to try to extract political concessions, but EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell rejected that argument.

“In global terms the price increases around the world are not a consequence of weaponization of the gas supply, but in the case of Moldova, yes it is,” Borrell told a news conference alongside Gavrilita in Brussels.

He did not offer any detailed evidence of Russian pressure. Gavrilita said in an interview with Reuters that Gazprom had increased its long-standing price for Moldova to $790 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas, from around $250.

“The price increase for Moldova is just extraordinarily stark. It has increased threefold and is set to increase fourfold if we buy everything on the spot market. The country cannot afford this politically, economically or socially,” Gavrilita said.

Moldova is governed by the pro-Western government of President Maia Sandu who defeated Moscow-backed Igor Dodon in an election last November. The country was one of the Soviet Union’s 15 republics and has been at the center of a political tug of influence between Russia and the West since the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union.

Gavrilita said Moldovan officials continued talks with Gazprom in St. Petersburg and that she took it as a good sign that they were continuing, but it was still unclear if there would be a deal.

She said the country was looking at swaps, contracts without prepayment conditions and long-term contracts from other sources. The country bought gas from EU countries for the first time this month.

Asked if Moldova could live without a long-term Gazprom contract, she said: “I want to underline here that no European country is buying its whole supply on the spot (market).”

Gazprom has said it will suspend gas exports to Moldova, which borders Romania and Ukraine, if it is not paid for previous supplies.

The EU this week said it would give Moldova 60 million euros ($70 million) by the end of the year to deal with the crisis, after Moldova declared a state of emergency.

Gavrilita, who said supplies had fallen so low that pressure in Moldovan pipelines went below a critical level, will use the money to help poor Moldovans unable to pay higher energy prices.

After less than 100 days in office, the Sandu government is looking to end years of endemic corruption and is “looking for a European style of development,” Gavrilita said. “In the long term, yes, we do see Moldova as part of the EU,” she said, adding that the country was not seeking to join NATO.

Philip Cameron Speaks Miracles On Grace Street

When Philip Cameron comes to the lectern and starts by saying “my God specializes in things that people say are impossible” you know you’re about to have a special time in the pretense of the Lord.

Philip shared with Jim Bakker Show partners and friends that we cannot forget “God’s permanent address is Wit’s End Corner.  God starts when you have come to the end of yourself.”  He reminded everyone that we need to surrender to God at the beginning rather than try to do things under our own power because His way is always better, higher and provided for before we even know there is an issue.

Philip made a statement that shocked some in attendance when he said that America is the most spoiled country in the world.  However, he explained the reason is that Americans don’t appreciate the blessings that God has poured out upon them.  Philip said that unthankfulness is a sign of the times and that a church becomes unthankful because they lose their fire.

“The church is not on fire because it doesn’t have a vision anymore,” he said.

He went on to share about Stella’s Voice and their home in Moldova that had a neighbor who was doing all she could to undermine the world of the Lord.  She would stand on her porch and curse at the girls and file repeated lawsuits to try and shut the home.

“But God,” Philip said, “can take your greatest opposition and turn it into an incredible opportunity.”

The woman came to Philip and the staff of Stella’s Voice and said she hated them.  Then she asked them to buy her home at a reasonable price so she could get away from them.

And at the very same time, Stella’s Voice was looking for a home for girls who have graduated school but needed a place to go while they get a job and start a career.  The Lord provided a huge open door!

Survey Shows 30 Million Worldwide Held As Slaves

A new report on human trafficking and slavery worldwide shows that around 30 million people are enslaved, nearly half of them in India.

The survey by Australian-based group Walk Free said that the found human trafficking in all 162 countries surveyed.

“Today some people are still being born into hereditary slavery, a staggering but harsh reality, particularly in parts of West Africa and South Asia,” the report states. “Other victims are captured or kidnapped before being sold or kept for exploitation, whether through ‘marriage’, unpaid labour on fishing boats, or as domestic workers. Others are tricked and lured into situations they cannot escape, with false promises of a good job or an education.”

India, where almost 14 million people are enslaved either in bonded labor or commercial sex exploitation, was the clear leader in the statistics. China was second with 2.9 million people in slavery, followed by Pakistan (2.1 million), Nigeria (701,000) and Ethiopia (651,000).

The survey also listed countries based on slavery totals per capita. Moldova, where Stella’s Voice is located, was in the top 6 nations of slaves per capita.

Stella’s Voice Girls Present The Harsh Truth

It was a powerfully hard night on Grace Street as Philip Cameron and the girls from Stella’s Voice presented testimonies that forced everyone to confront the reality of human trafficking and orphans in Moldova.

One of the girls, Veronica, shared her testimony in Romanian while one of her Stella’s Voice sisters translated for those in attendance. Her tears needed no translation as they melted hearts of those who saw the pain that is inflicted upon a young girl made to feel worthless by those who should love her the most.

By the end of her story, she shared the way Jesus transformed her and how appreciative she was of those who have welcomed her. Continue reading

Reaching The World From Grace Street

Today’s taping of the Jim Bakker Show featured a special moment between Pastor Jim, Lori and those in attendance. Philip Cameron arranged for a Skype call between everyone on Grace Street and the girls of Stella’s House in Moldova. But that was just the start of a moving day of stories and testimony.

In addition, Philip Cameron shared the story of his life and how there was a generational curse on the family for alcohol. He said his family was known for being the drunks laying in the gutter on Mondays after drinking all weekend. Then his family came to Jesus and it completely turned the family’s life around.

“[My father] became an absolute lunatic for Jesus!” Philip said. Continue reading

Philip Cameron Challenges Listeners To See The Blessing In Crisis

The second night of the Fourth of July celebration at Morningside came with a healthy dose of reality, power and encouragement. Philip Cameron and the girls from Stella’s House not only encouraged the audience with the miracles happening in Moldova but challenged them to look deeper within themselves and the ways that God works in their lives.

The evening opened with a surprise when Lori Bakker came out with Philip Cameron to make the formal introduction. Lori shared her passion for the world of Philip and Stella’s Voice, saying there is “not a greater ministry in my personal opinion on the face of the Earth.” Continue reading
