Obedience is Better than Sacrifice

We have been talking a lot on the show about the prophecies of David Wilkerson, some written over 30 years ago.  We now know they’re for today because we can see them coming to pass before our very eyes.  We believe that these prophecies have been illuminated for this time in our prophetic juncture so that God could remind His people of His faithfulness.

The referrals we are making to David’s books and prophecies are not to lift him up, because even he would resist that!  No, we are not flattering anybody – we are simply declaring the word that he prophesied because it rings true with the Bible and with everything going on in our world.

Our use of David Wilkerson’s books and prophecies have caused quite a stir, even a phenomenon on line – the value of anything he has written has skyrocketed to ridiculous numbers!  I wish David were still here to see this happening, but I know he is finally smiling from heaven.

You see, I believe David’s heart was broken when he was here on this earth – because nobody wanted to hear his doom and gloom message!  When he was invited to speak, they would always tell him to talk about uplifting things, but don’t scare the people with anything about the end times.  But things have changed and now suddenly, everybody wants to hear what he had to say!

Before he passed, I don’t think David every fully realized that his prophecies from the Lord would be held in high regard – and he certainly didn’t know they would be in high demand!  But now he does, and there’s a lesson in that for all of us.

When God gives you something, and you know it’s from God, you cannot put it under a bushel and hide it when He has said to declare it – no matter how much you may want to because it’s not a popular “feel good” message.  If you do that, God will move on and give it to someone who will be faithful to deliver it just as He commanded.

David Wilkerson was obedient, and that’s what we need to take away from his life – along with the truth of his prophetic writings.  The Bible says that “obedience is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22).  That means that humble, sincere, and surrendered obedience to the will of God, is more pleasing and acceptable to Him than offering a substitute because you choose not to obey!

I know that I have sounded like an absolute lunatic at times when God gives me something and I blurt it out.  But I have seen it come to pass time after time, and I know that if I withheld it, God would not be pleased.  I would rather err on the side of giving too much information, or as the kids say, “TMI,” than err by not giving enough.  I can still see and hear the anger in the people’s voices as they shook their fist at their leaders and said, “Why didn’t you tell us!” in a vision I had years ago.

Today, I live to preach the Revelation, and I have learned that there are many who want to know the truth.  Had I given in years ago when those who invited me to speak asked me not to “scare the people” by preaching the Revelation, I would have missed the ministry God had for me and possibly aborted my very destiny.

This is not a day to be more concerned with how your words will be received than you are about the weight of them on God’s scales.  You may never know exactly how or when they will be light and life to someone else, but you can rest in knowing you gave them exactly as God said!

I’m sure David Wilkerson didn’t know how much we would all hang on his every word when he wrote those books years ago.  He didn’t need to know – all he needed was to be obedient.

That’s all we all need.

Listening to the message and warning from Dr. Forstchen, do not all the promises of God come to mind?
IF my people??? So if each one of us who has ears to hear, diligently pray the Blood of Jesus over every school in America, pray Psalm 91 over our homes and schools and offices, pray the Blood of Jesus before we ever start a vehicle, can we not stop this enemy?
Can we not shine the light of Jesus and expose this evil plan of the enemy? Is it not time for the church of true believers to rise up in righteous anger and shut this down? Is it not time to expose through the light of Christ the hidden works of darkness and pray the blood of Jesus over our borders?
We are not to fear! We are to boldly proclaim Jesus is Lord. We are to stand on the solid rock and confront this evil. We are to be strong in The Lord and the power of HIS might? God is bigger than IS. God is bigger than fear and evil. Jesus is the soon and coming King.
We need the boldness of Daniel.. Pray openly, in faith believing and shut this down in Jesus name. No more ear tickling prayers… But prayers of defiance and power and belief that Jesus has already defeated all the works and power of the enemy!! Imagine praying Psalm 83 united against IS !!
    Psalms 83:13-18
” O my God, make them like whirling dust,
    like chaff before the wind.
    As fire consumes the forest,
as the flame sets the mountains ablaze,
so may you pursue them with your tempest
and terrify them with your hurricane!
    Fill their faces with shame,
that they may seek your name, O LORD.
    Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever;
    let them perish in disgrace,
that they may know that you alone,
    whose name is the LORD,
are the Most High over all the earth.”

Yes great evil has happened and is happening, but we were forewarned. God chose each of us to be living now,for such a time as this!! Thank you for your guests. Thank God for His warnings through Dr. Forstchen, Rabbi Cahn, Mark Blitz and Rock Joyner!
Let God arise, in each one of us… Righteous anger and take back what the enemy has stolen… And let His enemies be scattered. Hallelujah
Thank you for messages of preparation, for the days are evil, but let us also prepare our hearts, and renew our minds with the Word, Truth and Power of the Living God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! Amen

  2. Dear Pastor Jim,

This week Judy & I have been watching your program with DR William Forstchen. When He made the comment that he believes that we have entered into WW III, I agree. What I feel the Spirit reminded me of is the saying, “You can win the Battle, but lose the War.” Two things crossed my mind. 1) In War, there can be many campaigns, ie Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, and the Battle of Armagedeon. Could that be what is happening now? Plus Notice the Bible calls it the “Battle, not the War of Armagedeon. I think John Shorey feels there will be 2 or 3 wars(Battles?) before the Last Battle. And finally, The Bible say, The Battle belongs to the(our) LORD!!!!

With much Love and Prayers to you, Lori and the Gang,

  3. Pastor Jim,
Thank you for reminding us all that doing what the Lord asks will take courage. Sometimes great courage. If we measure our obedience by expecting to receive the accolades of men, we will be merely people pleasers and not God pleasers. May God give us all the courage and boldness we will need in the days ahead.

  4. Pastor Jim,

Being a “prophet” is always a “thankless job”!! It always HAS been……………..

    And always WILL be!!

If you don’t believe me, just remind yourself as to just WHAT the Anti-Christ is gonna do to the “Two Witnesses” of Revelation chapter 11!!
