Cow Bile & Garlic Potion Kills Superbug

Daniel 12:4 NLT “But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase."

A medieval remedy for eye infections has accidentally been discovered as a killer of the drug-resistant superbug MRSA.

Dr. Christina Lee of Nottingham University, England, recreated the 10th century potion to see if it really worked as an anti-bacterial remedy for stys and other eye infections.

The salve comes from two species of Allium (garlic, onions or leeks), wine and oxgall (the bile from a cow’s stomach.)  The substances are place din a brass vessel to brew, strained for purity and then left for nine days before used on the subjects.

The researchers were shocked to see the “medication” cured stys.

The researchers then decided to see if other diseases could be impacted by the salve and tested it on mice that had MRSA in wounds.  The study showed 999 of 1000 MRSA cells were killed by the remedy.

Dr. Kendra Rumbaugh of Texas Tech University said the salve worked “as good, if not better than” drugs that are currently on the market.

The researchers are now seeking approvals to test the concoction on humans.

  1. I believe the Jewish community , if requested could help us with infectious issues and problems of such due to the ineffectiveness of the antibacterial problem. This may sound ridiculous but they have been leaders in this arena for centuries( since Bible days). Why ignore them now? This may not especially always include medicinal remedies but natural solutions.

I too am thankful for the doctors here in the US who are finally beginning to understand and “see” that there are herbal solutions for various issues, not just naturopathic physicians and they too are appreciated. Now it is possible to go to a regular doctor who is more open to the natural side of medications. Speaking of leaves from the trees , my mother actually used leaves, very, very wide and very long and wrapped me in them when I was a child to cool fevers. I do not know the name of them, maybe someone does.
Has anyone had or heard of a problem with buzzing in the ear and mucous(lots) causing also stomach issues? Please send possible assistance for this problem if you have one.

  2. So called home remedies, or herbal based remedies, are very popular among people who are self taught about health and wellness. Herbs, which were placed here on earth by God for our use, have proven to be effective in treating a range of illnesses and health conditions. They are popular in Europe and Far East, but not so much in this country due to the big pharma influence on the medical profession. Thankfully, functional medicine doctors and homeopathic doctors are breaking new ground in their use. We use them regularly in our family to treat my daughter’s chronic Lyme disease. Someday we will return to the natural remedies that God has provided for us… the leaves of the trees along the banks of the river flowing from Jerusalem will be for the healing of the nations.
