Analysis by Michael Snyder states Israel preparing something big and chaos on college campuses is just beginning

Important Takeaways:

  • Netanyahu said Israel would enter Rafah, which Israel says is Hamas’ last stronghold, regardless of whether a truce-for-hostages deal is struck. His comments appeared to be meant to appease his nationalist governing partners but it was not clear whether they would have any bearing on any emerging deal with Hamas.
  • “The idea that we will stop the war before achieving all of its goals is out of the question,” Netanyahu said, according to a statement from his office. “We will enter Rafah and we will eliminate Hamas’ battalions there — with or without a deal, to achieve the total victory.”
  • What we are witnessing throughout the nation right now is truly sad. At colleges and universities all over the United States, crazed protesters are setting up encampments, attacking Jewish students, replacing the American flag with the Palestinian flag, and illegally occupying buildings.  Unfortunately, these protests are likely to become even more heated in the days ahead because Israel is preparing to make a really big move.
  • When this operation takes place, pro-Hamas protesters all over the U.S. will go completely nuts.
  • [The occupation of a building at Columbia University]
  • One student that witnessed the occupation of the building is using the term “lawless” to describe what is happening…
    • Columbia junior Jessica Schwalb described the campus to CBS News as “lawless. Utter anarchy.” She said demonstrators in Hamilton Hall “zip-tied the doorhandles together and then broke the windows, bashed the windows with hammers and put these metal bike locks around the door handles. They put the bike lock on the first set of doors is what I saw and then they were bringing tables, the heavy black metal tables from the eating area that’s right in front of Hamilton Hall, and had a group of people push them up against the door handles as a barricade and then people were also bringing furniture from Hamilton Hall to barricade inside.”
  • At Portland State University, students have actually been trying to take over the entire school library…
    • Officials at Portland State University in Oregon closed the campus Tuesday citing an “ongoing incident at library.” The school asked police to help remove dozens of protesters occupying the building. Last week the university paused seeking or accepting gifts or grants from Boeing pending a review of weapons sales to Israel.
  • Down in Texas, authorities are taking a much different approach to these protests.
  • Police are using flash bangs and pepper spray against pro-Hamas protesters, and dozens are being cuffed and hauled away…
  • Sadly, this is just the beginning.

UCLA campus latest battleground as Pro-Israel protestors storm the “Palestine Solidarity Encampment”

War-at-UCLA

Important Takeaways:

  • Roughly 100 pro-Israel vigilantes stormed the “Palestine Solidarity Encampment” at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, sparking battles with activists.
  • The raid occurred after nearly a week in which UCLA not only allowed the encampment to occupy the main plaza on campus, but also allowed pro-Palestinian activists to run their own security, barring access to students and the public.
  • The Daily Bruin, the student newspaper, reported the clashes:
    • Fireworks, tear gas and fights broke out just after 10:50 p.m. Tuesday night and continued early Wednesday morning as around 100 pro-Israel counter-protesters attempted to seize the barricade around and storm the ongoing Palestine solidarity encampment in Dickson Plaza.
    • After the barricades came down, counter-protesters and protesters inside the encampment began to fight. Counter-protesters shot fireworks into the encampment just after 11 p.m., and irritant gasses were released from both sides. A Daily Bruin reporter was indirectly sprayed in the face.
    • In another statement released at 3:30 a.m., protesters inside the encampment said the university has not done enough to protect students, and they repeated earlier calls for the university to meet their demands.

Hal Turner analysis of Poland requesting U.S nuclear weapons

Poland-Requests-US-Nukes_large

Important Takeaways:

  • Poland has handed an official request to Washington to have U.S. nuclear weapons hosted in Poland.
  • No word yet on any need or desire in the US to put such weapons there.
  • Russia earlier cautioned Poland that nuclear weapons in their country would **not** make Poland any safer. In fact, they said, it would merely make Poland a target for Russian nuclear weapons.
  • Hal Turner Snap Analysis
    • Nuclear weapons “hosted” in Poland; Sounds like an exchange student or something innocent, like it’s a cultural program.
    • My bet . . . and this is pure conjecture on my part — Poland didn’t actually “request” anything.
    • They were just told that the US is going to deploy nukes on their territory.
    • The nukes will be controlled by US of course, not Poland; Poland would have no interest in this affair whatsoever. . . except when they get blown up by Russia for having them so close to Russia.

Google funded AI may have become self-conscious or sentient some researchers suggest

Claude-3

Important Takeaways:

  • AI Firm Suggests ‘Claud 3’ Has Achieved Sentience
  • The U.S.-based, Google-funded artificial intelligence (AI) company Anthropic is suggesting that its AI-powered large language model (LLM) Claude 3 Opus has shown evidence of sentience. If conclusively proven, Claude 3 Opus would be the first sentient AI being in human history. However, experts in the field remain relatively unconvinced by Anthropic’s insinuation.
  • Claude 3 Opus has impressed many AI experts, especially the LLM‘s ability to solve complex problems almost instantly. However, claims of sentience began to circulate after Anthropic’s prompt engineer Alex Albert showcased an incident where Claude 3 Opus seemingly determined that it was being “tested.”
  • “When we ran this test on Opus, we noticed some interesting behavior—it seemed to suspect that we were running an eval on it,” Albert posted on X (formerly Twitter). He continued: “Opus not only found the needle, it recognized that the inserted needle was so out of place in the haystack that this had to be an artificial test constructed by us to test its attention abilities.”
  • Advances in AI technology continue to raise ethical concerns. Earlier this month, two leading Japanese companies warned that AI could cause the collapse of democracy and the social order, leading to wars.

WHO pandemic arrangement easy to get into but hard to leave: Final agreement and amendments being made

COVID-test-station

Important Takeaways:

  • One Month Until WHO Pandemic Agreement Usurps U.S. Sovereignty, Experts Warn
  • The global governance body will resume meetings to revise the WHO Pandemic Agreement on Monday. The Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB), established to draw up the text of the agreement in December 2021, will hold its ninth meeting from April 29 to May 10. That provides just over two weeks before the 77th World Health Assembly meets from May 27 to June 1 in Geneva, Switzerland, to ratify the final document.
  • The most recently updated version of the “Proposal for the WHO Pandemic Agreement,” amended on April 22, would redistribute wealth and protective equipment away from the U.S., establish a global governing board with little accountability to U.S. citizens and, critics say, water down U.S. sovereignty over how it responds to future pandemics.
  • The latest version of the agreement calls on nations to adopt “whole-of-government and whole-of-society approaches” to pandemics, “including the private sector and civil society.” Governments should carry out so-called education programs that will suppress competing narratives about the pandemic, as the U.S. government did during COVID-19. Nations must also conduct research to determine what forces “hinder or strengthen adherence to public health and social measures in a pandemic,” such as mask and vaccine mandates.
  • The text makes the WHO pandemic arrangement easy to get into but hard to leave. Once a nation signs onto the accord, it “shall not be discharged” from any “obligations which accrued while it was a Party to the WHO Pandemic Agreement,” even after it withdraws.
  • The controversial document mandates that all nations assure “real-time access by WHO to 20%” of all “products that are needed for pandemic prevention, preparedness and response”: “10% as a donation” and 10% at “affordable prices.: WHO, in turn, will create “a mechanism to ensure the fair and equitable allocation and distribution of the
  • pandemic-related health products” globally. Nations will agree to “prioritize sharing through” the WHO’s newly-established “Global Supply Chain and Logistics Network … over bilateral donation agreements” adopted with allied nations.
  • Every nation “shall” also create a “global health emergency workforce deployable to support [other signatories] upon request” of WHO.
  • Family Research Council has concluded that the WHO Pandemic Agreement puts in place the beginnings of “a turnkey totalitarian state.”

“There are straight-out calls for genocide of Jews…because of complacency and appeasement by our academic institutions,” Student Lawyer Columbia university

Encampment-Sign

Important Takeaways:

  • The attorney of an anonymous Jewish Columbia student who is suing the University for Allegedly Not providing “a safe educational environment” says his client is having to deal with calls for genocide while attending school.
  • “There are straight-out calls for the genocide of Jews. This has happened because of complacency and appeasement by our academic institutions,” Jay Edelson, who is representing the student, told NewNation’s Leland Vittert on “On Balance.”
  • …both verbal and in written form on massive banners and signs –– with statements such as: ‘Death to the Jews’; ‘Long live Hamas’; ‘Globalize the Intifada,’” the lawsuit said.
  • Edelson said it’s “fine” to debate how Israel should have responded to the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and other aspects of the war, but “what’s going on is something different.”
  • The student argues in the lawsuit that since the pro-Palestinian encampment went up two weeks ago, Jewish students have felt they are at an increased risk of harm or harassment.
  • Edelson said in the interview it is “insane” Columbia is negotiating with the student protesters and that this lawsuit fights back for Jewish students.
  • “The difference is, this isn’t the 1930s. We’re not in Germany. We’re going to stand up and we’re going to fight back. We filed this class action lawsuit, and we’re not going to sit by the sidelines. This is not going to happen again,” he said.

Columbia University protesters take over Hamilton Hall after deadline

Hamilton-Hall-Protestors

Important Takeaways:

  • Fury as Columbia University protesters stage insurrection-like takeover of Hamilton Hall after ignoring deadline to leave encampment…but will they be arrested?
  • A group of anti-Israel protesters at Columbia University have seized the historic Hamilton Hall, smashing windows, unfurling an intifada banner, and are refusing to leave, with their actions being compared to the January 6 insurrection.
  • Protestors stormed and occupied the building on the main campus of the Manhattan University after smashing their way into the school.
  • The occupation came nearly 12 hours after the deadline of 2pm on Monday for protestors to leave their protest encampment or face suspension.
  • Due to the takeover, the school issued a stay away notice for members of staff telling them to avoid the Morningside campus on Tuesday morning.
  • Since footage of the takeover was shared on social media, users have been comparing the scenes to that of the January 6 riots in 2021 when Donald Trump supporters overran the US Capitol.

AstraZeneca’s admission that Covid Vaccine can cause rare side effect of blood clots: Taxpayer will pay the bill for potential settlement

Astrazeneca-jab

Important Takeaways:

  • AstraZeneca admits for first time its Covid vaccine CAN cause rare side effect in tense legal fight with victims of ‘defective’ jab
  • AstraZeneca has admitted in court for the first time that its Covid jab can cause a deadly blood clotting side effect.
  • The exceedingly rare reaction is at the heart of a multi-million-pound class action by dozens of families who allege they, or their loved ones, were maimed or killed by the pharmaceutical titan’s ‘defective’ vaccine.
  • Lawyers representing the claimants believe some of the cases could be worth up to £20m in compensation.
  • Cambridge-based AstraZeneca, which is contesting the claims, acknowledged in a legal document submitted to the High Court in February that its vaccine ‘can, in very rare cases, cause TTS’.
  • TTS is short for thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome – a medical condition where a person suffers blood clots along with a low platelet count. Platelets typically help the blood to clot.
  • AstraZeneca’s admission could lead to pay-outs on a case-by-case basis.
  • Although accepted as a potential side effect for two years, it marks the first time the company has admitted in court that its jab can cause the condition, The Telegraph reports.
  • Taxpayers will foot the bill of any potential settlement because of an indemnity deal AstraZeneca struck with the Government in the darkest days of Covid to get the jabs produced as quickly as possible while the country was paralyzed by lockdowns.

Hamas-Israel deadlock for hostage release: Proposal involved release of 40 hostages in return for six week ceasefire and release of roughly 900 Palestinian prisoners

Israeli-Army

Important Takeaways:

  • Israeli Leaders Could Face War Crimes Charges as White House Pushes Hostage-Ceasefire Deal
  • President Biden has again told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the White House opposes Israel’s planned invasion of the Gazan city of Rafah.
  • Meanwhile, Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in Saudi Arabia for the first leg of a Mideast tour to lobby for a ceasefire in exchange for the release of hostages in Gaza.
  • White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby told ABC, “That’s going to be right at the top of the list for Secretary Blinken to keep pushing for this temporary ceasefire. We want it to last for about six weeks. It would allow for all those hostages to get out, and of course to allow for easier aid access to places in Gaza, particularly up in the north.”
  • The website Axios reports the Israeli government has proposed a possible hostage deal with Hamas that includes discussing an end to fighting in exchange for the hostages.
  • Hamas reportedly has no objections to the deal and is sending a delegation to Cairo.
  • While ending the war has been a key Hamas demand, right-wing party members of Israel’s governing coalition have threatened to leave if it agrees to what they call a “reckless deal.”
  • Today Hamas took credit for launching about 20 rockets from southern Lebanon into northern Israel. The IDF says they were all intercepted.
  • Thousands demonstrated in Tel Aviv on Saturday, demanding the release of the hostages and the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government, after a Hamas propaganda video showed two Israeli hostages in captivity: 47-year-old Israeli Omri Miran and Israeli American Keith Siegel, who said, “I want to tell my family that I love you very much.” He then begins to weep during his message.
